We are a non profit organization formed by various expediters that ACKNOWLEDGE the industry “expediter” character defamation was not brought on unexpectedly, but instead brought on by a few that have had a prolonged use of notorious expeditor industry practices.
We would like to therefore REDEEM our expediter character into a positive one, through an acknowledgment & promise. This character redemption can happen if we expediters UNITE and support the “LIVE THE CHANGE” campaign.
Join us in the “LIVE THE CHANGE” movement so we can learn from each other, edify one another and provide support in cultivating and implementing better industry practices.
Once you join, we will mail you your wrist band and email you our logo for use on all your or your organizations’ print or online collateral. This will be a symbol to all your fellow expediters and clients that you practice expediter professionalism while being an upstanding individual/organization and thus far deliver an over-all better customer service and experience.
We also encourage real estate professionals and construction professionals alike to join and give us their feed back on our deficiencies and how they perceive change should be addressed, what practices or processes should be developed and utilized to facilitate and make the expediter and client experience a pleasant one.
I think this is a great thing. When one acknowledges ones shortcomings and decides to learn from them, only good can come from it. I don’t want to generalize that all expediters have shortcomings but I do agree that, expediters could be more transparent and open up the line of communication during the expediting process. I think this would give us building managers great peace of mind.
love the idea, lets make something happen
I agree our Industry needs to be a changed but before we can change. We need to be heard at the department of buildings . We need to address the policies and procedures. Each borough is very different and they run there own set of rules. Fix system and then we can address all expeditors on how to work with the system.
I am glad I saw this. There are so many reasons why this is such a Great Idea and at a pivotal point in time. If a few of us could agree to offer some time to work positively in this direction, a great organization could result. There is a unique knowledge base here that is undervalued, and yet because of the practices of the few, appears to be overpriced. The clients know they need us but they are unclear what they are going to get from us professionally.
We can change that! The reason why you go to McDonald’s with your kids is because you know EXACTLY what you can get there. Send me a wristband!
