The expediting industry plays a vital role in shaping the extraordinary New York City skyline.  Expediters aka filing representatives bridge the gap between the developers and design professionals and the NYC Department of Buildings, Landmarks Preservation Commission, Fire Department, Department of Transportation and other city agencies.  We are more than paper pushers!  We are professionals whose work allows developers, design professionals, and general and sub contractors to create dynamic structures that service all New Yorkers.

Over time our industry’s reputation suffered because of lack of communication and accountability; dishonest practices; and failure to acknowledge we are an integral link in the development of the city.   As a result some of our construction and real estate colleagues have low opinions of our profession and business practices.  We are responsible for that perception.  We need to replace the negative practices with forward thinking attitude; be customer-focused and provide quality work.  Some of our fellow expediting companies have recognized that and have implemented strategies to move forward.  Change is NEEDED, thus the reason for our “LIVE THE CHANGE” campaign.

We are a non profit organization formed by various expediters that acknowledge and want to address the current industry  short comings. We would like other expediters to join us in the “LIVE THE CHANGE”  movement so we can learn from each other, edify one another and provide support in cultivating and implementing better industry practices. We also encourage real estate professionals and construction professionals alike to join and give us their feed back on our deficiencies and how they perceive change should be addressed, what practices or processes should be developed and utilized to facilitate and make the expediter and client experience a pleasant one.
